“Medicīnas centrs ARS” is celebrating its 36th anniversary in January this year. We’ve really got a lot to be proud of, and we look to the future with hopes.
The beginnings of ARS as a company can be traced back to the distant year of 1988 when Maris Andersons, Chairman of the Board of our company, and 4 other experienced physicians decided to start a private medical practice in order to provide consultations to patients outside hospital walls so that more time and attention could be devoted to patient health issues. The name of Mr Maris Andersons has since then become synonymous with the name of “Medicīnas centrs ARS”: he spends both his working days and his weekends at work here. The idea turned out to be very successful and “Medicīnas centrs ARS” quickly became a stable leader on the patient scale of values. Over the course of these years, by attracting the best physicians and medical care specialists in Latvia and expanding the range of cutting-edge medical technologies at our disposal, we have established several high-level service branches ― “ARS Diagnostikas klīnika” (ARS Diagnostic Clinic), “ARS Rehabilitācijas centrs” (ARS Rehabilitation Centre) and “ARS Kodolmedicīnas klīnika” (ARS Clinic of Nuclear Medicine) ― where we provide high-quality diagnostic exams and personalised treatment options.
This year we are determined to make a long-cherished intention a reality: to open a modern multi-profile private hospital at Grizinkalns (a neighbourhood in Riga) to provide modern and high-quality medical care at both diagnostic and treatment levels. It has been a great challenge to restore and furnish the old building of the Red Cross Hospital in order to create, by combining the experience accumulated over the years with an excellent team of physicians and up-to-date premium medical equipment, a special place where both patients and medical care professionals will find themselves comfortable.
According to a Latvian proverb, three things are good things. 3 +6 = 9. Hence, the good things will triple for us this year. It is like a symbol of good luck for the future.
